Gender identity is an all-inclusive characteristic regardless of age, ethnicity, race, or sexual orientation. What a business improves for gender identity issues, they improve the overall workforce culture. The lessons and tools offered in EGO programs help build a culture of trust, confidence, compassion, and service. Leader Development is a curriculum term used to describe the method in which a business develops their employees culturally in order to build a cohesive, effective workforce. Once employees can do the mechanics of a job, their development as an employee is an important aspect to ensure they become inclusive, respectful, motivated people who are maximizing your business goals. The development is done through unconscious bias and diversity trainings, effective communication workshops, facilitated discussions, team building exercises and other strategies to help keep team synergy.
Traditional diversity education programs can be contentious and don’t effect cultural change. The option of coordinating facilitated team discussions, on the other hand, provide an opportunity for conflict resolution where all viewpoints can be heard in a safe space. These can be between coworkers, supervisors and employees, different departments, or board members.
